Ok, WTH is the difference between the DMR upper and the 3G upper? The DMR and the 3G seems like pretty much the same thing only the 3G is cheaper.

I mean you can get the 3G with the loki XL handguard for $660 but the DMR is $790 with the same handguard. Also, the 3G comes with a corvette comp while the DMR comes with an A2 flash hider. Am I missing something? Is there some good reason why the DMR costs $130 more?

I know the DMR comes with the 20" barrel and it says that an 18" is optional but does a 20" barrel really cost $130 more than an 18"?

Hopefully, this is not out of bounds for me to do this. But if there are people here who are still interested in the loki uppers group buy, do a search on the "other forum" and you'll find my similar post I have there, as well. I run group buys parallel on both forums and on other places to make these work.

I gave Erik the expectation that there was interest for 3G uppers here and now that the group buy here is locked, I'll need to offset these orders elsewhere and notify him of the change that the group buy will now only be on the other forum and via my personal contacts and facebook. Shouldn't be a big deal, but now I doubt I'll be able to get the 25 uppers needed to achieve the targetted discount. I may call off the group buy all together, which is unfortunate.

I totally understand why the mods here have made the change, so not hatin on the boomer shooter admins/mods.

Do you think the Mods/Admins would consider modifying their ruling slightly to allow for group buys if approved in advance by a Mod/admin before launching? Also, maybe we need a simple 'Group Buy 101' lesson highlighting the benefits (i.e. lower pricing) along with some of the downsides (i.e. potential delays) so that everyone understands clearly what to expect. Personally, I've had nothing but good experiences in the 5-6 group buys I've participated in so far so no issues here. If there is a bad experience with a vendor or a group buy coordinator, then we as members can choose to participate or not participate. I understand the reasoning to some extent but hate to have all these rules (which ultimately remove a benefit that was for the most part working very well) limit the opportunity to leverage our group buying power. It seems like a pendulum over reaction to me.... I hope the mods/admins will reconsider this edict.

Respectfully,

Paul
