I recently got my first one off of GB, a '67 Lightweight. I found an original hammer and safety for it, Im going to be dropping it off at my smiths to have him go through it and also install a medium length trigger with a trigger job. It shoots great and I was surprised of the lighter kick than I was expecting, well I was using 185grain.

This one was a rescue from a previous attempt by Bubba to low mount a rear sight which was botched terribly. The owner wanted rid of it and I stepped in and purchased it very cheaply and fixed it. This has turned into a very nice shooter.

Gorgeous Commander. I can tell it was botched up by Bubba.

I think you'll like it a lot. Kinda snappy with hardball or 230gr defense loads but manageable. I've had a number of them thru the years. I currently own two. One series 80. One pre series 80 which has the anodizing removed from the frame, but not in the slide cuts, or the feed ramp. Round hammer, short trigger, stubby grip safety. Someone added horizontal grooves in the front strap at some time in It's life. Handsome little gun everything is original but finish and grooves.
Trigger is very clean so I'm guessing it has been worked on sometime or another.
