KFOR Channel 4 OKC The Rant on Open Carry

ok, I havent followed this at all. Will open carry replace ccw? Does it modify in anyway our ccw laws? Is there going to be a permiting process for this? How does it apply to guns in cars?

Way I understand it, you get your CCW license the same way it just also allows for open carry now.

In a nutshell 1733:

Allows a SDA holders to OC in holsters scabbards etc. shoulder holsters are ok
Changes the notice to inform slightly .. Reduces penalty if you don't
Allows bullets on employee parking lots ( along with the gun)
Non licenses OC on private property

OC by SDA holders in cars...

If you read all 100 pages ... The struck "concealed" every place it shows in the present version.

I would expect more no guns signs to go up. And in a hurry if people start carring around their open rigs lol.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Right now it's kind of an out of sight out of mind thing. People start walking around Walmart with their 1911's in shoulder rigs and I can see people starting to become pretty uncomfortable.

Gotta order a ghost holster for my Glock. I want to have a fast draw setup cause it gonna be the wild west out there come November.

I wonder I I wear a polo, khaki pants a double mag pouch my pistol and my concealed carry badge if I'll get free coffee at loves?

Never been in OC country have you?

Any of you guys take your coat off in the car now? If your gun shows its a violation.

Ever have a OWB creep out... Raise your arms and show the gun by accident? That's a violation.

Need to run out to the car... And forgot to tuck the gun it?
Ride a horse or ATV? (private land)?

People who OC for attention usually get it? Public endangerment, inciting disturbsnce , man with a gun call.
Discrete open carry goes unnoticed .... And that work in the states that allow it.
Plus.. In OK we are licensed and can cover up as an option.

I'm being sarcastic. I don't plan to open carry I may start to carry more frequently now. Simply because currently its too difficult to conceal my 2011 carry gun I use at the Heartland matches while wearing my skinny jeans and undersized affliction t shirt.

Oh god, please tell me that's more sarcasm!

Currently it can be considered brandishing. Unless your hunting or doing something of a demonstration type thing.

Really? Huh, I thought it was fine on private property ... I see people at the gun store OC sometimes and never think anything of it. I guess it could be considered demonstrating their product though.

I got checked on the ranch once. Fixing fence on the county road frontage.

In Logan county... They took it pretty well . I'd figure in Oklahoma County my horse would be impounded.

Wear a gun in your yard in town and see how long that works.

That's why we lobbied to change this

JT.... I like your skinny jeans .....

My neighbor across the street is a Deputy and we're always walking back and forth with guns. I guess I just got used to it and never think about it. I've even sat and talked to a cop with a gun in my hand like it was no big deal.
