Input on 3 gun ar upper

18" jp light contour barrel with rifle gas
Sjc Titan comp
Pri 15" carbon hand guard
Pri adjustable gas block
Jp lmos bolt and buffer

This is my new upper and I love it. I tried to build the best ar money could buy

That's exactly what you have done. End of thread.

Not so fast Jesse.

Lets say Cadoll was on a tight budget and he currently has an M&P15X and wanted a better 3 gun rifle. What should he do? Should he sell the gun and start over, or buy an 18" upper with a rifle length gas system as mentioned, and how much could he get a quality upper without putting him in the poor house or the dog house?

Your probably better off selling the complete M&P upper rather than tearing it all apart just to keep the actual upper receiver and sell all the other parts.

This is what I would purchase if I wanted the best but was on a budget.
JP 18" light contour barrel
Rolling thunder comp
AP Customs 16" carbon tube
Gas tube
KEI adjustable gas block
Palmetto state armory upper receiver
JP low mass carrier
DPMS bolt, cam pin, cam pin retaining pin, firing pin

I'm sending you a PM about where and how to buy everything later today.

Would it be too late to point out that most of the "top" shooters use a 20" barrel? Would that make me seem like a heratic? The only thing 5.56X45 has going for it is velocity and almost all the scopes with a B.C. feature or reticle are regulated for a 20" barrel. Just a differnt thought for you. KurtM

Kurt, does anyone make a .750 20" barrel, or do you have to get one profiled?

but the other issue is i took your advice and got a 20 inch barrel and now people are going to say, do you know that sucky shooter benjamin uses a 20 inch barrel!!!!!

As with all things, it takes forever for change to happen. There are several companies making 20" .750 barrels, Like Saturn barrels, and White Oaks.
