IDPA attire

I went to Academy to buy some Froggle Top rain gear last weekend. I ended up looking at hunting and fishing vests for possible wear to one of these matches if they are to ever be held here locally. Does anyone have any suggestions? What is a good price range for beginning IDPA shooters to spend on clothes to wear to the match? I read somewhere that the over garment cannot have patches or logos like my old headbanger heavy metal vest has. Is that true? I dont want to have to shoot for no score because I'm under dressed.

im the only one who lives in my house, so unfortunately I dont own a bathrobe. I dont have a cape anymore, the police wont let me have it back.

How much should I spend on a bathrobe or a cape for my first match? Where did you guys go to get your bathrobes and capes?

I'd think we all would have to agree, that no matter what discipline we shoot, be it beer cans at the sandbar, IDPA, USPSA, Three Gun, its training.

All involved strive to shoot the fastest while being the most accurate be it behind cover, or face to face with the dangerous steel poppers.

I hate it when one discipline thinks there's is more important than the other.

None of them have people shooting back at them.

I can get some bright white pillow cases from work but would PROPERTY OF St Anothonys be considered a logo.
I know there are those that ignore the penalties but I am a bit of a gamer and want to do well at the training match.

Armadillo concealment makes really good idpa vests. They are stiff and open up well during your draw.

Sew some lead shot into the bottom corner of each side of the vest. It helps when you flip the fabric back out of the way to access your amiguito. It's also useful for mouthy ROs.

Personally I like a roll of quarters for the second reason, but lead shot works.

Actual shooter at IDPA match.
If I was wearing tan I'd be cammo'ed up. The bears are about 8 miles west, up the mountain. Dont let the sun shine fool you.... it was about 30 and windy when we started. High desert gets cold overnight at 5000 feet

Mitch,s bathrobe would be a little drafty here. Last cape wearer we had landed in New Mexico 3 days after the match.

No cover required for some "standards" and the qualifer.

So how much do you seasoned IDPA shooters spend on your match clothes? I need to find proper over garments so I'm not DQ'd for appearance.

I bought a 5.11 vest off of eBay. You just have to hide the gun and mags with arms outstretched to the side

Most of mine is early yardsale....

The cape above is on sale for 29.95.... the code gets a discount. Barronvontrapp.

The bathrobe is 49.50 (jframe not included).... the code gets big savings - type " meatgazer"

The black number is offered in ladies and mens sizes.... you may want to shave your back ....

You should see the derilicts we shoot with in Nevada. If they dont get fashonista dq'ed you wont eithers.
