I bought some stag grips for this gun before I had it in hand. Let's just say they were sub par, Bobby Tyler had a set of grips... I love the stag.

Getting long in the tooth with no heirs to pass them down to I started selling off a lot of my guns three or four years back and I'm down to what I figure I can't live without and right now I don't have any intentions of purchasing any more guns.

When thinning the herd I kept three of my 1911's all are 5", stainless and chambered in 45ACP;
1. SA Mil-Spec.
2. S & W 'E' Series.
3. Ruger SR1911.

Never having had a long slide 1911 but always in the back of my mind sort of wanting one about the only thing that would break my no more guns promise to myself would be if something like this would happen to fall in my lap for a good price.

Welcome to the forum from Eastern NC. Great to have you. You have kept 3 very fine 1911's and that is a super sweet long slide.

Find one and treat yourself. You only live once and you should never stop living until you've taken your last breath.

Someone further back mentioned building your own. I recently completed a 10mm build. Will post up pictures tomorrow. I also just finished my first 2011 in 40 S&W.

Think of it like legos for adults. It is quite addictive.

Well, ok, the 2011 isn't completely finished yet. A buddy of mine with a machine shop is going to do an rmr cut for me in the next 2 weeks so I can mount a Trijicon SRO. Once that is done and a little bit of cerakote work, the 2011 will really be finished. But it does shoot extremely good.

Took the first aid class last weekend, it was kinda basic, but so is my first aid knowledge. I learned enough to realize I need to learn more. ;)

I am going to build up a small bag of first aid stuff and extra mags, batteries, and such for when I patrol.

Thank you. This one only needs a light and a magwel to be complete

The 2011 shoots well, but I plan to add a few more things to it. Will post pics of it later
