I might be a little MIA - but looks like NC is going to get direct hit.

Gotta lock everything down, and make sure supplies are good to go.

I need to put on my list of things to buy, a chain saw, and generator sometime in the future. Just my personal thoughts.

stay safe and be prepared

you needs

lots of ice( in lieu of a generator) keeps the fridge cool.

candles and /or flashlights with new batteries

fill you bathtubs( for water to clean with and it can be used to flush a toilet.)

pet food and supplies.

medicines--enough for 1 week

food and water(1 gal pe r person or pet per day x 7 daYS)

first aid kit

fill up your cars

books or magazines

favorite adult beverages of course

cell phone charged

am radio and batteries for it

IF you have electronics near windows --cover them in plastic as a just in case.

extra plastic sheets--in case a window gets damaged(small nails and hammer needed too ).maybe duct tape for damaged but not destroyed windows

if you are prone to flooding--open up areas in the fencing to allow water to flow--rather than destroy the fence

bring in all items that could float away or be blown by wind.

put plywood over windows if you are close to the coats and may face the HUGE winds( trees become weapons in that stuff)

best of luck. hope it decreases in size before it hits

I fear this will be a replay of Hurricane Fran for everyone on the NC coast from Wilmington to Raleigh and beyond. (with some flashbacks of Floyd, Hugo, Matthew...)

Been there, done that, and not looking forward to doing it again later this week.

It’s down to a cat 3, but a big arse storm.

Be smart, be safe, prepare as best you can.

Thoughts and prayers for all the Addicts and loved ones in the coastal area.

It's good here so far...but the coast is getting pounded.

The NC coast has been pummeled by Florence (a lot of areas devastated).

Things around Raleigh are generally fine (wind gusts and rain and several areas without power).

Sorry I missed this post. A band of this storm has been on top of my son near Wilmington all day. Hope the rain abates.

It never materialized in the low country of SC, so my sister was able to kick my mother out once the retirement home opened back up, which is good because someone was gonna die if mom stayed in the same house with them any longer.

As for Casa Fieldgrade? All is good.

You?
