How to Ghost Load a Benelli Shotgun

This also might have a application for duck hunters where the magazine has to be plugged to two rounds. At least until the game wardens finally figure it out. I have had a M1 for 15 years, and until I started talking to the 3-gun people this year, no one i ever talked to knew what I was talking about.

Resurrecting this thread because it reminded me of something that happened to one of our local guys...

Some waterfowl hunter have known of the ghost load capability since the first Benelli's came out (and as yall know the newer guns will not ghost load without a modification).

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot...... This being brought to you by the same administration that felt it was OK to sell AK's to the cartels in Mexico that were used to kill US Border Patrol agents! But don't you dare think about adding an extra round in a gun used for hunting water fowl.

Just to clear this up for everyone (me), when and where is this legal for 3 gun?

I've shot matches where they would specify empty chamber starts, but would allow one ghost loaded on the carrier. 1 on the carrier, 8 in the tube. No need to press the tiny little silver release. Just rack the bolt and go.

.

It's not very applicable anymore in 3 gun. Typically you can either have 8 in the tube and am unloaded chamber or 9 total in the gun in the divisions other than open. At ozark this year they allowed 9 in te tube for an unloaded start which was odd because it only hurt the guys that didn't have a 9 round tube or the ability to ghost load. It is always applicable in open or during the zombie apocalypse.

tell ya what else is cool. i googled ghost load and this was the first thread that came up.

Google is finding us fairly nicely! I like it. Only problem is we are gonna have to clean up our act eventually.

I can't believe that actually works ... Seems like it should make the gun jam after the first shot. Pretty cool little trick :)
