K
Well Kevin, I guess if they have one you kinda have to take it???

It's a good deal to. You do learn a lot.

Are there other areas volunteers are typically needed for at major matches. Scorekeeping? I'm pretty good with computers and data entry, is there ever need for help with stats?

Where will this money come from? Club tax for Oklahoma ranges that host uspsa matches?
Every club is supposed to send a mission count fee for every shooter entry for each match.
OK bylaws are pretty outdated, the specified fee is .50 and apparently the clubs dont even pay that.
Other sections collect $2-3 and clubs that dont pay, dont get considered for any Natl's slots.

AR section will prob have at least 1 RO class this year.
I recently spoke with Troy about also having a CRO course (NROI has dropped the correspondance course, cuz it didnt work well)
I'll post details when I have them.

I emailed the folks at okcgc about this and they were still looking at it, they said they did one a couple of years ago. I wish there were more certified folks at our local club matches. I will most definitely pay in advance! When and where is all I need to know.

So I read some of that website about NROI and I guess my question is what does it take to become a certified Range Officer? I am an NRA Certified Instructor, am waiting on my paperwork for my SDA instructor qualification (it is in the mail now), and am a NRA Certified Range Officer. Will none of those substitute for this NROI class?

They are only offered very infrequently because they are specialized and not just any old fart from the gun club can teach them.
