I'll probably go late morning if I can finish some other tasks first. I am helping a friend who is just getting started in cowboy action shooting and in loading his own ammo (most of us cowboy shooters are handloaders). I'd like to see if I can find any powder for him.

On Saturday afternoon, crowds were almost nonexistent. Even plenty of parking close to the entrance.

Prices for some guns seemed noticeably lower. Some Remington shotguns for reasonable prices. There were still some firearms that were vastly overpriced, especially "private sales". Saw several AK-47's in the $550 range and a couple of SKS priced at $400+ but offered for well under $400. Sellers seem eager to move their product.

I bought a little ammo from Jeff at P1. It's always a pleasure to do business with him.

I did not see any reasonable .22LR ammo.
Since I haven't reloaded in over 20 years, I would not know how to compare reloading supplies pricing, but I did see 3 or 4 booths with lots of powder and other supplies. I'm tempted to start reloading again just as a hobby.

I'm able to get all the .22LR ammo I need at Academy at good prices, so I refuse to pay over $60 per brick. I'm in an unusual situation in that I'm retired so that I can go by the stores any time I'm out. I don't rush to Academy three mornings per week like they tell me some people do. I just drop by when I'm out in their area and pick up a couple of boxes, or maybe a box of 325-500. Since I don't shoot over 300-400 rounds per week, I get all I need from Academy or maybe even Cabelas now and then.
