So I like open but I hate the maintenance that goes along with trying to keep/get 2011 magazines/guns running in 9mm. Yah I could get 38superxxx but I am setup for 9 and I hate picking up brass. So I ordered a CZ Czechmate. It came with a c-more, mount (which I swapped with a 90degree cheely), extra barrel, comp, front and rear sights for shooting limited minor, a nice assortment of pins and springs for different applications, 3 140mm mags and a 170mm mag and a case large enough to use as luggage.
It came configured for irons so I had to install the comp, remove the rear sight and install the slide racker, and mount the optic. Took it to the range yesterday and sighted it in. Running my 124gr 9mm major load (176pf) I was able to keep it in a 6" circle at 30 yards off hand. Maybe suck for some of you all, but that's good enough for me!
The trigger breaks crisp at 2lbs 1oz and the over travel and pre travel are adjustable. I think it's going to be a winner. The entire setup with the cheely mount was just a shade over 3K, which if you know open guns is a pretty good deal for a turnkey open setup.
Got the belt configured and everything ready to go for this weekends match at OKCGC. I will post a report here afterwards.
