I'm trying to get into 3 Gun, so have been shooting my shotgun a lot, mostly cheap 7 1/2s and 8s from Wal Mart. I was cleaning out the garage today and ran across a bunch (one whole case unopened, plus six more full boxes) of Federal copper-plated Number 6s from a pheasant hunting outing several years back. I'm not sure whether to shoot these shells for 3 Gun, or sell or trade them to someone who can use them for pheasant hunting. Any postivies or negatives to just shooting them in practice and matches (aside from the increased recoil over lighter loads)? Thanks.
