I will say this from somebody that has been in combat.
Being in combat, and being in a theater is two different situations.

I've read on other forums about military people being in the audience, and why they didnt charge the shiooter and so on and so on.

Let me assure you that being in the military does not make you a Rambo. Ponca City Range trains Reserve units every year. I'm one of the instructors.

LEO's, etc have training, but that training does not cover every situation. There are countless stories of LEO'S being killed in off duty and on duty situations.

This iis a totally sad situation, that probably could not have been prevented by anybody no matter how much training they had.

Tear gas, pandimoniom. low light, etc, all factors. If you haven't experencied anything like this, You can't judge.

the point I have tried to get across to many people... but you have both the wording and the experience to back it up! all I tried to tell one guy was that his video on what he would of done if he where there, that he posted less the 12 hours after was in poor taste and disrespectful to the victims.

This is what bothers me when people say "if I had been there, I would have shot the guy!" With a bunch of bystanders running around in the tear-gas-filled darkness, and a really loud movie playing, it's easy to imagine not being able to get a good shot.

well if i was there i can tell you what would have happened...

I would have pushed my wife down so she was safe, then i would have pulled my gun out and said "killing you quickly would be too nice", i would throw the gun to the side and then rushed him and using a roundhouse kick, i would kick the guns out of his hands, he would then pull out a knife and cut part of my chest, i would rip my shirt off and say "you just messed up buddy", after dodging 3 more successful stabs at me i would grab his wrist and break his arm and he would drop the knife, while he is hunched over in pain i would do a running flying knee right to his face and as he would drops to the ground, i would say "nice of you to drop by", i would punch him one more time to just prove my point and then start to walk away, but as i do he crawls over and picks the gun back up, someone would scream "watch out", i would turn around and kick the gun upward and while it is flipping 3 times, i would knee him in the balls and right after that the gun would drop in my hands and i would say "wrong move", using the stock of the gun i would hit him in the temple knocking him out. The police walk in at the same moment and i say "he is all yours", my wife jumps up and says your my hero and somehow during the commotion her shirt got ripped off and she is wearing lingerie and she says "you were able to handle him, but lets see if you can handle me in the bedroom", we walk away and i never look back.....

but once again that is only what i would do..
