Carrygun Match at Heartland

I will go with a "25 shooters or less" policy on the Second Gun thing. I don't want to have 50 shooters show up with 25 of them shooting a second gun. This is the same as having 75 shooters which is just too many. Maybe I'll make it 30, depending on the match.

I don't see much of an advantage to shooting a practice run on these stages. It's not like they are complicated or difficult.

I'll ask here and at the match:

1). How many will shoot both matches? Both matches most of the time

2). If you do, would you shoot a different division? NO

3). Would you like to see the SAME stages at both matches? See below

4). Or would you prefer similar but different challenges? similar but different

Oh, jesse, turn off your auto-correct!

I will for sure be there on this Sunday, I would like to go to the one on the 17th but that is the same day as my first 3-gun match, so I don't know if I will be able to shoot 2 match's on 1 day

I will only shoot one a month. I would like to see both be the same, but really it doesn't matter that much to me.

I like the idea of scoring it as one big match.

is it weird that the highlight of my week is these matches, my wife gets upset because i will say "yeah i love you" but then i look at my beautiful guns and say "i loooooooooooove you and i have been looking forward to spending some time with you". can't wait for the match, david does a great job with keeping things interesting

So far I've made both dates, and will try to do so. I only have one pistol so I'm stuck with the same division until I can talk myself into buying another pistol instead of another rifle. Rifles usually win 9.5 outta 10.

Oh, Jesse, turn off your auto-correct!

I plan on making most matches
Will likely shoot same division but different guns depending on my mood
Similar but different challenges works for me

I'm planning on showing up to both, but may end up only doing one - Tri-city is supposed to be on Sunday as well. I am for sure coming to this one this Sunday - need to come early to see about a mag pouch and other stuff with my gift card!!! Everyone here was right, this is a great one to shoot at first to learn the ropes. Everyone was nice and helpful! Now if we could just make room for my AK!

Well since I started shooting comptition on the last Heartland match, thats all I look foward to now. I already have plans for the next 3 weeks, Tri-city and Heartland This Sunday, H&H next sunday, and 3-gun and Heartland on the 17th.

If you want, I'll let you shoot my G35 on one of the match's. I just installed a Dawson magwell on it today

Thanks for the offer, but that would still have me in hi-cap div. Trying to talk myself into a 1911 style pistol.

I'd like to shoot both but doubt if I shoot either if there are more than 50 shooters. 2 guns just makes it last too long, with 2 matches a month, its plenty of shooting to decide which gun you want to bring. With identical stages at both, you can see how you do with a different gun, even if you have had a "practice" run the first time around.

Don't worry about the two gun thing. I will only allow it if there's 25 shooters or less. At most, 3-5 would shoot twice.

H&H had 84 shooters at their super classifier and only 10 or so shot a second gun.

It won't be an issue at Heartland.

You make a very good point about shooting each match with a different gun. In fact, I plan on shooting one with my 1911 in .40, the second with a .45 just to see which one I do better with.

Jesse, could you add an identifier like an asterisk to the second match? That way, everyone could what scores were shot at which match.
