AR Photo Thread

I've been doing some research on carbon fiber handguards. One thing I'm still not sure of is whether or not they are removable. I have gathered that you install the barrel nut and then glue the handguard to the nut. In this particular application, how would you adjust the JP gas block?

There's a hole drilled in the handgaurd for the adjustment of the gas system... Fortunately for me, the gas system is alreay dialed in and I haven't had to deal with it. It's my understanding that the carbon fiber tube is glued to the barrel nut and that the assembly can be installed or removed with a strap wrench of some sort.

in order to remove it you would have to remove the gas block altogether. How feasible is that without separating the handguard from the barrel nut?

You can go a lot shorter with a 9mm... Say hello to my little friend. lol.

I drilled holes in the handguard for the gas block mounting screws as well.

Lol... Chambers is like some sort of AR magician or something. There's not really anything super special or exotic on the rifle, it's just super light and shoots really well and was not that expensive.

It has expensive parts where it matters, and none where it doesn't. ;)

Really need to weigh it sometime. It is ridiculous...

The Go Fast rifle weighs 7 pounds total... My Noveske 10.5" SBR weighs 9.5 pounds with the can and 8.5 without... The Benelli weighs 7.5. lol...

AHHHHH So mine at 5.3lbs has you beat - WOOHOOOOOO :-)

I haven't mounted optics on it yet so that could be the difference...

Hell don't ask me - I am not the one to say how well it shoots - haven't you seen me at matches?!?!?!?!

Shoots good though in my opinion...
