whole package including glass came in just over $900. I did spend to much on a few things to be considered a true ultra cheap build. I could have gotten a standard handguard and cut $120 there. I got the BCG group coated in micro slick while I was doing my other rifle so that was another $40 and I surely could have saved on the gunfighter charging handle and optics. Now that I think about it maybe it wasn't a ultra cheap build.

ATAS special. Rustoleum & Krylon spray paint. 2 coats of primer grey, 3 coats of tan, a sea sponge and brown for the camo effect, and 3 coats of "flat" clear.

LR308 is going to have a base of OD Green with tan breaking it up. AK is already under way as primarily tan with OD breaking it up.
