Realize, Zander, that there are guys here that have some pretty serious knowledge about guns, etc. So when you post up about how awesome or dumb, this gun, or that gun is, you're basically telling us that you already have made up your mind about things, possibly without even having shot a certain gun... So while this gun or that gun might be cool looking at such, many of us are performance oriented, and realize that there are pluses and minuses to everything.
I love the hell out of your dad, and while I respect your right to be here and talk with the guys, Im not treating you any differently than another grown man or woman here. You want to visit a gun website where most of us are probably over 30 years old, Im figuring that you have your big boy pants on, and can take it. I know I would have killed to be taken seriously, like a grown man, at your age.

Thanks, and now that I think of it, I guess in a way I have made up my mind when I ask questions (except AR's, I just know how to take one apart, maybe, and shoot it), mainly about handguns since that's what I'm more experienced in. I'm probably gonna end up with a Sig P239, even though a Kahr is a bit easier to work with since I'm a lefty but Massad Ayoob has told my dad and me on how to work with Sigs besides just racking the slide. Besides, I'm a Sig, FNH, and Beretta fanboy. I love those companies to death!

Steel Challenge and IDPA for sure! USPSA I'mma have to work at. 3-Gun is kinda of a no go unless I use my dad's Ruger Mini-14 and my Mossberg 590! That would be a though challenge.
I won't be getting an AR unless I get a job and save up the money or wait till like NEXT April so my dad buys it for me because I'm already spending my money on 2 or 3 handguns....... already bought a Taurus Model 65 (I think it's one of the older models) and then I'm either gonna get a Khar CW45 or Sig P239, or unless the price is right on gunbroker, I can get both of them.

You know for what it is worth I am pretty sure if you showed up to a 3gun match and wanted to shoot, someone (or everyone) would loan you what you need to make it through. Just bring some ammo bud!
