Anyone Seen Open Carry?

Saw one yesterday. He was running a right handed nylon dropleg on his left leg with two nylon flap mag pouches on his right hip and a 6in buck knife. Scruffy looking in his early 20's.

If I ever OC it's going to be something classy like a gold krylon touched hipoint.

Saw one of my customers open carrying last week. He had a compact M&P in a kydex holster. He's the only one I've seen carrying open. Haven't heard much fuss about open carry around here. Made sure all of my associates knew of the law and our stance before it went into effect, though.

I saw a guy at Bass Pro on Saturday coming out of the store wearing a 5" XD in a Blackhawk Kydex. Nobody seemed to give him a second look.

He was walking out of the "exit" doors with a sack in his hand. He didn't look to be the type of guy that would've checked his gun. I didn't see a "no gun" sign on the doors when I went in. This is the OKC store that I'm talking about. I was carrying, so I looked. If there is one there, it needs to be a little more prominent. I did see the sign that says guns need to be checked in, but that is for guns being brought into the store for warranty, maintenance, return, etc. At least that was my understanding. I know that to be the way it is in the new Dicks Sporting Goods stores. They are good with the new "carry" permits, but anything else has to be checked in at the front.

I still haven't seen open carry, but the other day the wind blew my coat back when I was out walking the dog and this was my reaction:

I seen it in CiCi's in Norman. an M&P looked like a .45 in a blackhawk serpa holster. I wanted to ask him if he knew the issues with that holster but it was kiddos B-day party so I let him be. My Father in law pointed it out and asked "what flavor?" figuring that I could Identify the gun by the looks of it. the only other people to notice was my mother in law who looked visibly sick.......

Only people I have seen openly carrying have been the guys working in gun stores. Don't plan to myself but I appreciate the right to do so.

When leaving the big town in NW Okla going to the city i CC but I did happen to get my shirt caught on my gun after leaving the restroom and walked around for a bit in Gordmans before I noticed, never really noticed anyone watching me or following me around.

thats the beauty of the new OC law. No violation of a CC.

The only one I have seen was in Academy in Edmond. He was a customer at the gun counter. I will keep mine concealed and be happy about not getting busted if it is seen. When I used to smoke I would have people harrass me when I was smoking outdoors, Lord knows what some busy body will do if you carry open and it offends them. I would hate to tell them at the pearly gates I was taken out by a purse wielded by some busy body because I had a gun strapped on.
