OK, it is posted!

ShootzenFest: Boggy Head, 10:AM, Saturday May 1st.

We will bring some hotdogs (if Fordnut doesn't eat them all) and soft drinks.
There will be a grill, but you guys can feel free to bring other stuff you may want.

We had planned to do a swap meet, I've not seen Boggy Head's facilities, and Fordnut says space for tables may be limited, so figure on tailgating the swap stuff.
If you need more room, I 'll share my tailgate!

We could set up a grill and a tent to the far right just behind the area where there is no covered stalls. If we do Philsons we will need to get approval with the DNR. If y'all wanta do Philsons we better get on it soon. It gets kinda hot in late June :|
I can help plan it Harry.

I think later fall would be better as long as we don't interfere with the MG shoot, Your right we'll have to get with the DNR folks.

Good idea. We will have to revisit this issue in late summer to plan for the fall.
Spring in the lowcountry and fall in the upstate- Sounds like a plan!

Sounds good to me.
If you can't make one maybe you can make the other.
Last time we did this we had a lot of fun meeting people and getting to try different guns.

I love the coast in the spring and the mountains and in the fall.
I was looking at some of the other ranges around the state.
Looks like there are plenty of good choices for shootzenFests

If we keep them fairly simple the biggest cost will be the trip and any ammo.
Ahhhh the ammo.

There are some around the I26/Hwy17a intersection. I don't recall the exit number, but it is where you would get off of I26 to go to the range.
There is a good resteraunt there too, Firebird's or somethign like that.

Frost or Fordnut, can either of you fill in the gaps in my memory?

We should look forward to a Fall shotzenFest in the Fall. Some time when the leaves are turning. That will make it a double excuse to go!

I looked at the Ranges that were posted. After we get past this one, We'll have some history and I'll contact the Ranger's in the Upstate Area.
We'll see if we can get things nailed down a little tighter and a little sooner for that one.

Hey Pops: I went to Boggy Head range yesturday, just to look the place over closer...O.K. I did shoot a little...

They have mowed around both sidea and cut the underbrush back...I think we will have a good amount of room...I am going to take a small table...about 6' long, to put the food on...and, I think I am going to just buy a cheap charcoal grill...Dogs taste better cooked on charcoal...and, we might eben shoot upthe grill after we cook...LOL.

You do know that there are no restrooms anywhere, right....

Steve

charcoal is always a good choice.
There looks like there are about 20 or so seriously commited to the Fest, to that'll give us an idea of how much we need to prepare for.

They have some trees don't they?

I'll try to go before I leave the house.

And I'll bring some rubber bands!

I am planning on swinging by tomorrow morning with several handguns. I need to get some practice in with my 9-mm carry weapon. I hope somebody has one of these that I can see how they fit my hand: KT PF-9, 11 & possibly the new Taurus 380 acp. Been thinking about getting a pocket gun.
