Got rid of my Sig 556 just because there was not enough after market support for it. Got a new Rainier Arms Ruc Rev 16'' to replace it and it came in today! Can't wait to get to the range next week!

So sweet!!!! I love Rainier stuff. Wish I had more than just a few of their parts. I DO have the XTC on my lightweight rig and I think it performs equally as well as more expensive options on the market.

Enjoy the rifle and post up some action shots!!! If you are in between the Columbia area and the Upstate, a few of us regularly go to Philsons if you want to go shoot there

Rainier's new tshirt is also cool:

Yeah, I couldnt find the original mount for the surefire so all I have is the Haley Strategic rail. I ended up moving the mount to the bottom rail and pushed it back about 1/2- 3/4 of an inch so I still dont get a barrel shadow. Ive seen and talked to plenty of the guys Ive trained with and they said surefire LED lights shouldnt have an issue with muzzle blast. Only real issue I'll have is cleaning the lens.

Planning on getting a Geissle SD-C trigger in the near future.

Very nice looking rifle!! Not a huge fan of single point slings, ever since I smacked myself....that's another story and perhaps a personal problem.

Hot barrel on a calf will do it every time

Took the rifle out today and holy crap. Worth every single penny. I feel like the gun shot itself. (dont tell that to the liberals). This thing was the flattest shooting rifle I have ever fired. Between how little it weighs and the XTC comp it has, it kept the rifle flat and firing where I wanted it every time. Only issue is the bolt wouldnt lock back with certain mags when the gun ran dry. You will notice this in one of the videos below.

Edit- Also to answer the question above. The gun never really felt like it got too hot. You could definitely feel the heat while firing it but the way it is designed, It QUICKLY dissipated. I am still going to get some BCM keyhole rail covers when they get back in stock though.

How hot does your hand get after sustained fire due to the skeletonized rail?

It looks like the rail puts your hand far enough away that it won't get too hot, especially with all the airflow through it. The AFG2 helps as well.
I know the AFG2 on my SBR is extremely helpful for keeping me from grabbing the FSB/suppressor and acting as a nothing layer between me and the barrel.

Tis odd about the PMags not locking it back. Will they catch the bolt if you put an empty mag in and pull the bolt back?

Yes, If i pull the charging handle on an empty mag it will catch. But during firing it doesnt always want to catch and lock.
