Actual good beer thread

According to the recipe you use both (unless I messed it up). And as far as the bean I just used a few espresso beans (I had them laying around as I'm also a coffee freak; yes I know I have issues).

What would you like to know? The coffee beans are added toward the end of the process and left to brew with the beer. It's my first try at it. Usually I stick to brewing simple stuff as I'm kind of a simpleton.
You can get the coffee flavor just from combining different "colors" of roasted barley. I tried some roasted wheat a few months ago; it was 550 Lovibond, darker than any barley I've seen, but it didn't really offer as much flavor as color. Super-dark black ale, but actually a much lighter flavor profile than a conventional stout or porter, although it was technically a stout. It was great beer.

I went to COOPs anniversary party a couple of years ago and they ran their gran sport porter through a filter full of coffee beans as it was being dispensed. It was very tasty. I would drink it in place of my morning coffee!!! I kegged the 10 gallons of beer today!!! Now the hard part is waiting...
