If i sign up for production now but for some reason my wife actually lets me buy a 2011 can i change to limited before the match?

They check your current classification a few days prior to any big match and classify your scores accordingly. If you want to sandbag you gotta stay in D until after the match.

Yes you can change division - they usually like you to notify them ahead of time though - plaques and what not are based on numbers in each division / class

I sent my application overnight! How many of you guys have shot this match? Any advice for a new shooter aspiring to make my first Area match? Any advice would be appreciated! I already tie my sneakers in double-knots, so I've got that part covered! Everything else is up I the air! I hope they accept my app!

As a new major match shooter my advice is always go slow enough to have zero mikes or penalties and you will win your class. It's also the advice I don't think any new shooter can actually accomplish. It's Too easy to get sucked into the speed game.

You should also bring a small cooler with drinks and some snacks. It's a long day or two on the range at a major match. A towel to wipe the sweat off your hands and or face is a life saver too. If you haven't tried pro grip or prince tennis grip get some. Makes keeping your gun in your hands a lot Easier.

AREA 4 MATCH HOTEL HAS BEEN CONFIRMED!

The Match Hotel for Area 4 at Old Fort Gun Club, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, has been confirmed.

Candlewood Inns and Suites. Address is 7501 Madison Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72903.

This is a fairly new property (about 4 years old) that is as close to the Range as you can get. Rates for Area 4 are as follows:

1 Queen Bed Studio -- $77.00 + tax
2 Queen Bed Studio -- $85.00 + tax
Multi room suite -- $93.00 + tax

I've checked several properties near the Range, and this is the best rate available anywhere.

Call the local number at (479) 424-3800, use the reservation code "Area 4" to get these rates.

We have used this property for several years for the Arkansas Section Multi gun match. They are 'gun friendly' and understand that you will be coming into the property with guns, ammo, etc. No problem with them.
