I'd love one of those! I'd offer to work out a trade but I still want my 3". I'll have to justify buying another some day, I guess. I definitely had more enjoyment shooting my buddy's old ass 1911A1.

Same here. I want a Ultra so bad I can taste it but I can't ever let go of this baby. Plus, its a Series I (without the Schwartz FP safety)

I see that dude trading all the time, he's one trade-tacious dude! I haven't seen that ad, though. I would seriously consider offering a trade if it were a Compact CDP instead of the Pro.

Kimber 4" and above disassemble like any traditional 1911, correct? Instead of needing that dumb take-down pin?

Mine has the little hole in the guide rod and I stick a bent paper clip in there to keep the spring compressed and it works great. You can take it down without it but it is a pain.

I break mine down without the pin, but it'd still be easier to twist the barrel bushing rather than doing the take down method with my 3".

I am thinking about those VZ's some more can't make up my mind. I am showing the solid colors so you can see the texture better even though I will probably get something other than black

No I didn't notice any difference in girth from the factory panels. I don't like slimlines for that very reason.

Have you checked with Simonich Knives for compact sized Gunners? They are listed as an option.

I'd like to try it but I think I have it narrowed down to the Operators or the Aliens. I have had the Operators and they are awesome but the Aliens really caught my eye as well. Decisions Decisions!

Here is a different angle showing the Operator II. The only difference in these and the original Operators is the checkering on the front is replaced with DEEP ball cuts and there is a cutout for the mag release. These things are BEASTS!

I had the VZ Operators for a while and they're great.
Then I switched to Davidson-Lazza 'monkey grips' 'cuz they were more aggressive, and I love them.

BTW, FWIW, YMMV, I sold the VZ's used for darn near full price.
