13th anual Women's fun shoot, Sept. 8, 2012

I think if they advertised with any intensity, it would have to be a two-day event. Seems like it gets bigger every year.

Next year I'd like to see some action pistol guys running the pistol shoots. Jus sayin......

I think we all agree that this is a world class event. Hat's off to you fellas for helping out.
If it wasn't on the same day as the limited sectional I'd have been out there in a heartbeat, even with the short notice.
I'll definately try to help out next year.

They don't have to advertise for me.
I went to the Open/Limited shoot to win my first "C" class trophy.
Instead...I won my first DQ. Dang it all.
Second Saturday in September, Right???
I'll be there with bells on.

Yes, 2nd Saturday in September.

With the current course of the world I won't be surprised to see an increase in these types of events, SDA licenses, etc.

Do you have to be a member of the club to help out?

This might be something I could do next year too, might even get my daughter and 3 daughter-in-laws out there.

Registration info for each year's event is usually posted on the OKCGC website sometime during January or February. This year's event filled up back in March.

Let me get in front of this before it takes a bad turn. First off all this is a great event and I am proud to be a member of a club that takes this much pride in providing this opportunity to women.

I was probably more upset with myself that I didn't know about this so I could promote it through our community. We like to pride ourselves in knowing about all the good stuff going on in the shooting community, and this one slipped by without me knowing about it. That is my fault not OKCGC.

I am also proud of my fellow OKCGC members, Kurt, Troy, Will and Spencer. Thanks guys. I know there were dozens of more volunteers but you guys make me proud.

I completely agree & already have next years event on my calendar.

Things like this are really great for us. There were 400 women out there many who probably had never shot a gun before. Now they are all hooked on shooting, and telling their friends how much fun they had. This also gave some pretty good publicity on the news. I hope they get 1000 women out there next year.

It was kinda a bummer many of us were out of town that weekend, but now we know when it is for next year to help out.

12k in ammo? They got in some trigger time!

A great picture of this event from the OKCGC Newsletter
