RIA Wood grips -- what's your favorite?

Just got these grips yesterday in the mail and now my SDS Imports 1911 A1 Tanker looks pretty sick, not to mention those grips are amazing to shoot with.

    Bad experiences with the 1911

There must be something wrong internally with the gun sir. Have you taken it to a Gunsmith to have it checked? Have you sent it back to the manufacturer? I have an SDS Imports 1911 A1 Tanker that shoots like it's nobody's business. It eats everything I feed it. No issues. Yes, Impressive for a...

    Just came from gun store

I agree with you totally. If people keep buying ammo at those ridiculous prices, it's never going to stop. Stop buying ammo and you will see how fast they bring down the prices. What they are doing is abusive.

Need to decide. PLEASE help me make the RIGHT decision!

It's hard to chose because they are all good 1911s. My suggestion would be grab the one that "feels" right in your hand and the one you feel more comfortable with, the one that is more visually appealing to you. Again, they are all awesome models so it's hard to say this one is better than that...

    Thumbreak or No Thumbreak?

I have one but don’t use it. it’s quite old. Got it when I first started with guns. Like everyone who is new at guns, especially 1911s, I didn’t feel safe carrying that 1911 cocked but years of experience teach you that the cocked hammer is just intimidating and looks scary, but nothing more. We...

    Thumbreak or No Thumbreak?

I am curious. What is your take on carrying a 1911 in an OWB holster with a thumbreak?

    Dan Wesson PM-C .45 - Fail after 6 rounds

Definitely jump on them because that's a very expensive gun and there is no excuse for that. I know 1911s aren't perfect, but damn. I'm sure they will make it right for you.
