    Show us those rifles!

Home rattle can job; my favorite Base coat: Rustoleum Camo Khaki I used a 99 cent mesh bag from Walmart for the pattern. I alternated Rustoleum camo in Earth brown and Deep forest green, spraying in different angles and directions so it wouldn’t be a uniform striping.

    AR10(308)

QC has kind of fallen off. Their 9mms are plagued with problems. 2-3 fail every match on the weekends at Mid Carolina. There’s a PSA employee who doesn’t use one anymore who shoots there

    Reloader Introduction

I’ve been loading for 6 years: .223, .308, .243, as well as a variety of 9mm, 45ACP, .380, and want to start loading some .38/.357. If I build a new rifle like a 224V, I’ll load for it also

    Innovative Arms Warfighter Upper

I'd actually shoot Innovative an email and ask about WAR Uppers and 300BLK....their site says 5.56 but the demand for 300BLK has changed since they were released and it may not have been considered at the time. I've got a 10.5" AR and I want a WAR for it because I'm sure the buffer and carrier...

    Innovative Arms Warfighter Upper

I've had mine for a couple years almost. I love it and want another. Completely got rid of any blowback, it reduced felt recoil (my 16" mid barely moves now) and helps keep the guts cleaner. They still get dirty but not nearly as fast or as built up

    What a rack!

Wonder how many reservist/NG armories like this that sit for decades without real use have had FA/Burst fire control groups swapped out for semi autos.

    .22 suppressor

What did you go with For a rifle host you can't beat a Savage FV-SR. 16" "heavy" profile threaded barrel, adjustable trigger. They're usually in the $280 ballpark. I went with a Marlin XT-22RZ. Got it on sale for $189 as it came with a threaded barrel (22") and adjustable trigger. It's a...

    Defense after drinking

Good point. If someone who reloads primarily with lead or bullets that aren't completely encased in copper, I'd have lead levels checked periodically. I wear nitrile gloves when I am tumbling and cleaning cases. As far as the "don't sell to anyone" comment, it's technically illegal to sell...

    damage to bolt catch

https://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/ ... ct_id=4672 Here's a lower from Rainier Arms and AXTS that remove the "need" for a BAD lever. I'd like to get one. Incorporates a bolt hold back with the mag release button Benefits: Removes six steps from the Manual of Arms when clearing a double...

    damage to bolt catch

A lot of times I find the BAD Lever is the answer to a question that didn't need asking. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the cause or your problem. Is there any damage to the bolt teeth or underside of the bolt carrier where it might be dragging? I'd replace the bolt catch, using a new roll...

    Your squirrel gun?

I have reduced many a squirrel with this: Marlin XT22 with adjustable trigger, 22" barrel, 3-9x .22 scope and Innovative Arms Apex .22 can. Had a worn out set of nomex gloves so I used the remaining nomex to make a slip on cover. Didn't want to paint the can and this helps reduce the black...

Looking To Relocate from Konnecticut To SC

Nothing I've said was meant to be offensive. We just have different priorities. You do what you feel is right and so do I. I have roots in SC dating pre-Revolutionary war (and who fought the British and then later the North). I'll sum up my feelings with the motto of the 2nd SC Regiment...

    Laser engraving...

My neighbor just asked me about what to do with his 1911. He said the serial numbers on the frame are very shallow and he is worried that duracoating it will conceal them. Could your engraving process deepen the existing serial # ? I'll pass y'all's info along

Looking To Relocate from Konnecticut To SC

I had several months' notice with my medical discharge from the Army. It happened right when the big push to downsize started so rather than medical retirement with full benefits and post privileges I got severance. They rated me just under the percentage needed for retirement. 10 years of...

Looking To Relocate from Konnecticut To SC

If I were you I'd find a utilities job down here. You don't want to be "outside the wire" when it really counts. I wouldn't move above southern Virginia or beyond Central Texas (not counting Wyoming/Montana) for anything. Less money here is better than more money there to me
