IMO teh best ammo for an AR is the ammo you have lol I will shoot anything through mine, but my favorite "plinking" ammo is WMA Millitary Classic

I just started packing mine, not so much as a BOB, more of a SHTF bag, right now I have 2 liters bottled water spare socks/undies M7 Bayo 280 rounds .308, 140 in Mags, the rest stored loose a few cans of chili About 4oz Salt and a small container of pepper 50 rounds 9mm 50 rounds of .45 ACP...

I couldn't believe how shitty the shotgun guy did, then was bitchin about no one admitting that they sucked, If you looked at the chart, right after the challenge, he went 2/10, wow I'm pretty sure my 2 year old could do that with his nerf gun...

I havnt got a chance to shoot any quality red dot sights, but for me I perfer my Irons, I shoot the action rifle match at USSA and the irons are always plenty for that, until they make us shoot left handed, then Im in trouble. I would like to try an EOtech, but they are just so pricey.

If I'm awake, there is a 95% chance I am carrying, when I step out of the house you can up it to 100% as much as the lwa allows. I just make it a habit to be top priority.

They have a multi gun at USSA the last sunday of the month, it is usually pistol and rifle(mostly rifle), USPSA style. There is also a practical rifle match at Oil capitol, but I have yet to check it out.

I seen one about 5 years ago about 40 E. of Tulsa the only one I've seen that wasn't in a zoo

When I go Hunting I keep Charged cell phone and a couple of lighters, cigarettes, chew in a ziplock, also usually have at least 20-30 rounds of ammo on me.(I know this sounds crazy but this one time on a deer drive I only brought 8 bullets, and I got my doe on the 8th shot, luckily)
