    Cerakote

I think the P35 (Hi-Power) is one of the purdiest pistols out there. Something about the lines. It's said that Browning considered it his best design for a handgun. I was toying with buying a Kimber...........but decided cleaning up my P-35 was more practical and heck, I just like that...

    Cerakote

Ron, This was my first Cerakoted firearm. I've carried the pistol for at least 16 hours of every day for over a year now. That includes while brush-hogging my front pasture in the sweltering heat............with all the sweat rolling down my body and much of it onto my firearm. Not a single...

    30 round .223/5.56 Magazines

Actually, I had to go with the ASC Stainless Steel magazine because I'm seating my bullets at a 2.314" OAL. The ASC is the only mag that will hold a bullet that long.

    High end loads for .223/5.56

My wife always accuses me of being too serious and not catching people's humor. I stand convicted.

    High end loads for .223/5.56

Hmmm. Could be. I wouldn't know, which is why I came here to ask you guys who shoot 3-gun competitions.

    High end loads for .223/5.56

Okay, then my original question still stands...........why?

    I don't know either...............which is why I was asking.

    High end loads for .223/5.56

I overheard someone say that 3-gun shooters like for their .223 rounds to be "smokin' hot" for competitions. Didn't have time to question the guys because they were in line at the store and gone before I could ask them. So is that really true, and why would that be?

    Looking for some one-on-one help.

    I'm such a poor offhand shooter I couldn't out shoot myself! :o

Well, I got the barrel "settled in", installed the Buckmaster 4-12x40 scope and got away from the factory ammo and pulled my trigger and did some proper polishing. Shot a .500" group this past Wednesday when the wind was down. New barrel, gritty trigger, couldn't see the target and better ammo...

Greg agrees with you on both those subjects. As I said, I'm waiting on the 63 gr bullets now. He says that bullet has been accurate in every rifle he's used it in. I just took my trigger apart and inspected it with a 40X jeweler's loupe. At that magnification I could easily see the problem...

Sorry 'bout dat! The twist rate is 1:8. Anderson OEM BCG. Homer, in Moore installed the new barrel, adjustable gas block and handguard so I'm not concerned with a botched gunsmith job. As I mentioned, the target shown was shot with the standard plinking round from American Eagle. However...

Anderson upper and lower. Heller Enterprises Tactical, 18" Stainless Steel, EV5 (Polygonal) barrel with 5.56/WYLDE chamber and adjustable gas block. HyperFire EDT2 trigger. Nikon Africa 1-4 scope. (I've got a Nikon 4-12x40 on the way) Right now I'm shooting off the bench with a target...
