I appreciate it tony, I know its hard to tell when your not talking to someone, and me and kurt had this issue as well, you really cant tell what I person is saying becasue you cant tell HOW they are saying it. I agree with all the points for Benellis and respect all the history and experience, I dont want anyone to think Im attacking anyone elses opinion, just trying to express mine. I realize there is a gold mine of experience and talent here, Im just hoping I can get close enough to soak some of that up so I can get better as a shooter and be more knowledgeable. I realize I have a tendency to be pretty strong in my opinions, for that I apologize, I dont want to come off as arrogant.
I think I will shoot this year with the FN, thick or thin and if it works for me, Ill have the proof, if it doesnt, then you can chalk one more up to the Church of Benelli converts. I just want to try and stay open to the chance that it is a good option. Granted Im a noob at three gun, Im not an idiot and I have been shooting and into firearms my whole life, young as I may be, and Im not insinutating that anyones calling me an idiot so no need to defend yourselves, Im just stating a fact. This is why I enjoy the people on BS, because everyones got strong ideas, and no ones afraid to put them out there, and it doesnt turn into a dick measuring contest. Im glad I found a group of guys who are as into guns as I am, and cool as hell to boot. So Im waving the white flag on this one, I appreciate everyones opinions and input.
Is yours the mk1 or the regular SLP?
i believe mines the regular version, but I got it from Kurt M and he did some work to it and so did FN if I recall. Its not like any of the ones Ive seen, It looks like the comp model but has no cantilever, I just ordered the NC 1 shot ext for the 10rnd total cap., NC bolt handle (tony wall is the man, order from tony wall!!!), and I called FN and got a rail for the reciever and Im gonna try an RMR on it and see how it goes. Dont know the rules well enough for 3gun to know if I can shoot that in comp but it has the FO front sight and the stock 10/22 rear so Ill be good either way. It only had about 50 rnds through it when I got it but I shot it yesterday and had not a single hiccup with about 5 different rounds, the cheap winchester walmart stuff (7 1/2), ranger low recoil buck, high brass 1.5oz slugs, or the 3 inch 00 that makes nate robinson shiver. Its an aminal so far. Only time will tell how reliable it will be, but im optomistic.
