2011 Arkansas Section Multi Gun Championship, October 29-30th

For those of you shooting this match that haven't shot arkansas before here is a little bit of advice. Their bays are small and they use a lot of clays. You might want to order a Briley diffusion choke and/or a couple of boxes of Fiocchi Spreader shells to make thigns easier. Both of these items spread your shotgun pattern fast and at 5-7 yards its hard to hit a clay fast. I will be running my diffusion choke for most of the match and running spreaders through it when clays are involved.

Here are the spreaders.

So that is why you asked me what choke I was using at the last 3gun over there, I was sending the steels all the way to the back of the bay with Modified choke.
Question, with Diffusion would 9 shot be best for clays?

Jesse, I noticed there are a few stages that combine clays and steel. Do you just use heavier shells on the steel and still shoot the diffusion choke on those stages?

Looking forward to this match. I've only shot Ozark and this looks like a totally different ballgame.

I was running my diffusion choke with #7 1/2 shot (bulk pack) at the OKCGC match last weekend.
The steel plates we had on stage 1 were the heaviest plates I've ever seen.....not sure where Kurt got those things.
I had no problem knocking them down with the diffusion choke.
I did however see others have to hit them more than once, but I'm not sure what chokes they were using.

ill be shooting my light modified choke the whole match.

That will give me time to watch jesse swap out red hot chokes.

yeah, no swapping for me.
It's either LM or Diffusion.
Whichever it is, it's for the whole match.
