Well I just got a couple letters from the Tax Commission saying they would not make me a plate that said 3 Gun or 3 Gunner. I am pretty pissed. Who do I have to write a letter to?

That's some bullshit

Definitely BS. The application reads as follows:

"Any special plate request deemed to be offensive to the general public will not be issued"

I wonder if any of these tags were rejected as "offensive"

Freedom
2nd Amndmnt
Bill of Rights
Right 2 Bear Arms
Tyranny
Unconstitutional
Federalist

.

Yeah they declined my tag cause I have a tahoe and wanted my plate to say MY07HOE

Most all should know my avatar. Walter is classic.

I am seriously considering contacting the NRA about it. It is pretty ridiculous. Could i get one that said SOCCER or FOTBALL? Hell yes I could!

Buy three cute puppies, register them with AKC, naming them all gunner like George Foreman naming all of his kids George. Take them to the tag office. Pick out a woman. Say I need a tag for my three dogs named gunner.
Show the paperwork. Who can resist puppies??? :D

If it was only that easy. You have to send your app to the OK tax commission. The same folks that audit your sales taxes.

I know, I was being facitious.
Its kind of ironic that they sell tags(I have one) called patriot tags that have the flag in the background and my # I4USA.
The proceeds from sale of the plates go to buy body armor for our Okla Troops stationed in harms way. Are they so stupid to not realize those folks are using GUNS! Heaven forbid!
Does not the 2nd ammendment to the Constitution count for anything anymore?
I would certainly contact the NRA, as well as the Oklahoma Rifle Association (in-state political action team)(I'm a member) to see what they could do. I would put more faith in the ORA doing something vs the NRA, but then again one never knows which one of these will get a burr under their saddle, and help.
