OK State .22 & .223 Tactical Rifle Indoor Championship

When I sent in my registration I thought this was the OK State .22 Tactical Rifle Indoor Championship. Now it seems it has turned into something entirely different. Much like a "run what you brung" local club match and not a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

I can't imagine all of you guys that are planning on crashing the party with CF rifles don't have access to a 10-22.

I'm not sure I want to drive 3 1/2 hours (one way) with my 2 TACTICAL 22s to shoot against only 2 or 3 other TACTICAL 22s.

How many STANDARD DIV rim fire rifles are registered?

How many TACTICAL DIV rim fire rifles are registered?

How many CF DIV rifles are registered?

I agree; I was thinking that it was going to be a cool, relatively quiet, fun plinking type match that I can shoot my 22lr upper.

I understand it needs to be worth Heartland and your time to have it, but If theres not enough interest for it, theres not.

Just my .02; not hatin on CF 223's or anything.

+2.

This is the first i heard that you had an interest in this match. If you want to lose 30 arrows for each stage, I might consider letting you do it. It'll offset the noise factor from the .223's :)

I currently have paid entries for:

6 Tactical .22, one of which is magnified.

4 Standard .22, one of which is UNmagnified

1 Tactical .223, unmagnified.

Aside from folks saying they're going to shoot another division, etc, that's it.

I'll go to the PO later today, so maybe there will be a few more.

I have entries from Sandy, Dennis, Jeremy, Wes, Dave, Burk, Michael, Craig, Kenneth, and Paul

Got Benjamins entry today.

One for .223 magnified and the other was not listed.

I've spent $100+ so far getting what I need to put this on, so the folks that shoot this will have a grand time.

I will be there, unfortunatly I do not own a 22 upper so 223 is all I have to shoot. I will have my entry form in by friday. I think it will be magnified but not sure if I want to throw my red dot sight on it yet.

both were for .223 mag... my bro is going to shoot my gun.... also what is funny is i have never owned a .22!!

Can I shoot one of them if I need to?
Burk,
Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make this one, but you can take my Nordic upper & mags for use at this match. You'll have to come up with a lower though because mine are registered (SBR's)....I'll see if I can come up with a lower too. Anyway, the upper is sporting an Eotech XPS 2.2, it should work great for this match. If anyone else wants to use it while you have it there, that's fine too.

Nah, I appreciate it but I was just going to see if someone that was going to be there had an extra. I will probably still shoot my M1. The reloads might just be tricky

I have an extra lower that your more than welcome to use, just let me know.

I can graciously bow out, I do have my form ready to mail in. I do not have a .22 rifle and asked to use my .22 pistol to see how it would be taken. I know that Dave really wants some participation and I was really serious about bringing the AK. I'll leave it at home and try to borrow a .22 for the match.

I'll leave it up to y'all - Just for the Record, it's not the first time that my AK has struck fear in the hearts of the competition.

No worries - My buddy has a bolt action .22 that I need to dust off, unmagnified. I'll get me an AK .22lr variant for the future. I'll have to go to the range with a quarter and set it up at 18 yards. I'll be sure to record it for y'all!

JP, you're welcome to shoot your .22 pistol, but even a Grandmaster would have trouble shooting a handgun at this match.

Your AK is welcome this time, but we are shooting 1" "plates" at 15 yds and 1/16th" wide targets at 10 yds.

If you want to shoot a .22 bolt action, I can apply some "DRT" scoring to allow you to keep up..... kinda.... It would be much less frustrating for you.
