DW, did you work with her showing her the different grip techniques? I ask because the pictures with her shooting the browning, have different grips

Yeah, we're working on the grip. The Buck Mark has a much more noticable thicker grip than my Ruger 22/45 which she shot the other day. I've shown her different ways to grip the firearm but am more or less letting her settle on what comes natural for her without saying too much since her hands are small. Like most women her stance started out with feet to close together with a slight backward lean at the hips. She's got the feet apart now and most of the backward lean is gone. We're working on getting the arms to stay extended as she tends to bend the elbows after a bit and bring them inward to her torso. She says the gun gets a bit heavy. I told her to start doing pushups to strengthen her shoulders and arms.![]()
It's a work in progress but for a new shooter she has impressed me. I give her enough advice to keep her safe but without overdoing it. I don't want to get her discouraged and pissed... or cut me off.
286 rounds of 9mm today - not sure that was a good thing - I think it was more fun to empty the mag to ensure an A vs a miss.
Shot a 110 rds at a fundraiser sporting clays shoot Friday. Its was my first time to shoot sporting clays. Definitely the most challenging shoot I have ever done.
