Jesse is RO'ing while Brandon is shooting. If you listen closely you can even hear Jesse (the R.O.) laughing (right next to him) during Brandon's run. And yes we were all leaning, trying to help, exactly like Jesse described.
I'm not afraid of being made fun of. I'm a horrible shot with a pistol past 10 yards. I just don't think I could make the dedication to going to all or even most of the matches. Say If there were 20 matches in 1 year I might be able to make 3 or 4 depending on where I'm working at that time. I'm definatly going to try to come watch one just to see what it's all about.

Actually, I was hoping you wouldn't remember that.Wasn't this your first match at OKCGC and your first match that you got DQ'd for trying to shoot the targets both forwards and backwards too?
He admitted that he practiced dry fire drills off that thing before the last 3gun match.Of course, not everyone is so die hard about it that they'd actually go borrow a Rascal just to shoot!![]()
You'd best just bring your gun, rather than wishing you had. We've actually geared guys up with borrowed guns & ammo when they were foolish enough to try and "just come watch". To a person, every one of them was glad they shot the match afterward. Many have since become regulars.

Also, thanks for the lead on Robert Carlile. I got in touch with him. He is indeed the guy I knew from many years ago. He apparently has a range at his house and was kind enough to invite me there to go over the basics of everything, from handling my weapon in a safe manner, obeying range commands, what to expect at a match, and maybe even some shooting instruction if we have time and the weather is kind. Anyway, reconnecting with him was great and the opportunity to learn from someone like himself is even better. Thanks again.
What all gear do I need? Right now here is the gear I have. Pistol wise I have a Glock 17 and a crossbreed iwb holster and 1 mag no mag holders(gave my second one to my sister for glock). I'm not sure about 3 gun but, here is what I would have for thatistol: Same GlockAR: heavy ass 16" carbine with a rifle length 4 rail handguardShotgun: Camo Benelli M2 that only holds 3 rounds(dove hunting gun) or I have a 18" Remington 870
I've been thinking about getting involved. Considering the idea of trying my hand at Steel Challenge. Is Practical Shooting in McLoud still doing it? The link provided is busted...
I don't think they've had it in a few months. OKCGC has a SC challenge match every month as well.
3rd sat. every other monthThat would work. Do you know the day of the month?
Thanks, I appreciate that.See it can't get more embarassing than that!!! Tony kept coming back after the worst first match you can have. He is even really close to not sucking anymore.
