Ya know, Vermont has always had constitutional carry there, and they're arguably one of the most liberal states in the country. They have a VERY low crime rate. I wonder why that is???? HMMMMMMMIt's a little different at my house.
Had guns all my life. (Toy guns when I was a kid) Hmmmm, had a nice lever action when I was 6. Never did report that theft to the NYPD. But I digress.
The wife was talking about getting her permit @ 7 years ago.
So I bought her, HER first gun for her birthday, a G26.
I figured it would precipitate her to get it done.
So back when S&W had their 75$ rebate on the M&P's I bought my 45 Shield.
Got a pretty good deal, but not that great, bought it local.
The day I brought it home, I'm on the PSA website & there was the 9mm Shield that, with the rebate was
$199.00 OUT THE DOOR - FREE SHIPPING!
Wife - What're ya doing.
Me - Look at this.
Wife - You just got one.
Me - Yeah, but look at the price!
Wife - YOU'RE OUTTA YOUR MIND!
Me - It's the deal of the century.
Wife - You're crazy, you need ANOTHER GUN?
Me - Well, look at it this way . . . maybe . . . when you get your permit, you'll have TWO 9mm's instead of one!
Wife - OH! - SO GET IT THEN!
Changed her tune pretty quick.
End result - she STILL hasn't gotten her permit - so both 9mm's are still MINE!*
*To her credit, she DID carry that Shield while hiking in Maine.
Gotta love constitutional carry.
