I'm a new member from Jenkintown, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia). I'm mainly a pistol guy, but have been getting into rifles lately. I prefer my 1911's, but also into big bore pistols (.50AE Desert Eagle, a couple of S&W 500 Magnums, and a Magnum Research BFR chambered in 45-70). I figure when the zombie apocalypse comes, I need to protect my family, hence the .50 cal pistols.

I have the same addition many of you suffer from, namely a need to grow my collection. In the past I tried to get my addiction under control, but as of late I have given up on managing the addiction but at least I recognize it. But if you ask my wife, it's a hopeless cause...

Welcome. I like 1/2" bullets too. Here's mine.View attachment 676
Thx for the welcomes. How do you like your Beowulf? I've heard mostly good, but every now and then I hear that it jams and is not dependable, but these are mostly second hand stories.

I'm ordering mine later this month, it's my Xmas gift to myself. At 1st I couldn't figure out why I needed the Beowulf. Then I watched Jurassic Park last week, and now if those T-Rex's ever reach the east coast I'll be ready.

Here's a pic of some of my 50's and two Nighthawk Customs (Falcon and Kestrel)....50 vs 1911.jpg

Welcome from Kansas.
I don't have much in the way of big bores except two .45-70s. A Marlin 1895G and a Wesson & Harrington Buffalo Classic.

That looks damn cold, and it was 95 degrees here today. Those 45-70s are very potent, they should keep you safe.
