Ammo prices... 2017 vs 2021 (today... right now)

I used Photoshop and cut 'n pasted some screen print images together and have the detailed prices also listed from Georgia Arms (the gun show ammo company). I was at RIR (Richmond Raceway) back in 2017 and bought some basic 230gr FMJ "GI ball" ammo for target shooting. You know... pffffftttt... no big deal... $18 bucks for 50 rounds.

I got on Georgia Arms website just now to check on their 230gr FMJ .45 ACP rounds and got sick at the price increase!!

Got involved in a trade today for some 22 rf with a good friend more coming next week I will be set very good on 22 rf ammo also primers coming next week also all done in trades no cash either way and same for next week additions.

Wow.....some of these prices are insane.

When I lived in middle Georgia. I could get Canned Heat for $9.99 a bag, Winchester white box was $10.99. I guess that must have been about 2008

Fortunately, I haven't had the need to buy at these inflated prices. Time will only tell if prices ever return to pre ccp admin prices. I can say I'm shooting less than ever, not all due to supply replacement costs.

It would be interesting to work on a price graph depicting the prices from the Klinton Regime to the Biten Regime on Ammo & Firearms.
Looking at things eg. Gold, Guns just what are the best investments that some of us have kept from the old daze.

A good friend & fellow mechanic has a bunch of the older Automotive Shop tools from X-on before the Exon Tiger days.
I saw a Drum brake shoe Cam grinder, ILLeagle as hell today but! He paid $766.87 for something being made obsolete.
Yet a guy from Miami wants it for his Classic Chevy bar & grill & will pay my friend $36,000 for his old junk ??? LMAO!

All have a price, I have had a friend get upset due to me not selling him ammo yet he was with us when we all decided to stock up early last year he did not after being told to do so a non believer.

Back some years ago I went to Ammo parties where we traded ammo for ammo no sales just trades.
Why? No ammo it was all bought up, then a year later back to normal just more Co$tly for everything.

Not new this feeling that this is the BIG ONE this time for sure! This is as bad as I have ever seen it in America.
What can one do if this is it? Perhaps trades for like products may be the only answer for now & perhaps into the near future
like primers for cases, bullets U know. Trade the stuff you have too much for primers or powder.



Last thoughts just an observations over my life under an ever changing Government. Democrat GUN BANNERS= Fake Presidents.
Why when you knew how not when? but that the Evil Empire would one day take your Guns & end your access to Ammunition & loading components.
This is what they ( Commies ) have been trying to do forever we all know that is true, now it's happening.

Why would let's say from the SEN. Screwmer (D all) during the Klintons, from the AR Ban, to the Obama Abortion when Guns & ammo were
still readily available. Yes each time there was a bounce back, with everything more Co$tly every time like clockwork.
This time there is no end in sight for far too long & primers were the route Klinton tried to use to end ammo loading. Remember the self
killing primers they tried to get over on us? The Cops screamed hell no, so it was put on the back burner for later.

When cases of Mil surplus from every country imaginable at pennies on the dollar & Black talons were $10.00 a box, Federal 210M $9.00 per K
you saw it all.

The question is for anyone who had the chance to do some stocking of guns or ammo, loading
components. What stopped you $ we understand. Perhaps you were not real sure that this attack
on all gun owners would every happen in the USA?

Hell I don't know perhaps this is the end of easily found ammunition at reasonable
prices for a very long time. Be prepared, Semper Fi, I just heard the alarms go off BIG time when Klinton banned the ASSualt Weapons.



This is the reason some have stockpiled equipment they will need to survive this brave new world. I hope and pray this is not the SHTF
for the 2nd amendment however if I were without protection & the gas to run it.

I'm 1000% in this now but did not know to stick up all the time although am very well stocked for quite a while I would be neck deep in cases of ammo plus wound have gotten into reloading!
I continue to add as possible but refuse to pay $32.99/50 9mm although I bought another AR and my first Glock yesterday at my favorite lgs they informed me they have been getting small quantities of 9mm and selling at $33/100

9mm here for ball is almost $1 a shot, self defense $2 or real close, talked today to a AC tech that just bought a new Shield 9mm $40 a box for ball but would only sell 3 with new gun purchase, he paid $120 for 3 boxes, we loaded 500 45 today with our bullets for $3 a 50 ct box which we figured high probably closer to $2.50. We have traded lots of components with friends here. All that went in on the original buying trip trade no one else, we got a ridiculous amount of components then.

I never had a 20ga shottie but I sure have ammo for it to trade. I saw some nice Expev$ieve .22s behind the counter of my local Hardware
the other day. Someone left it there on consignment & some 30-30 & 44 magnums. I saw them because I was asked to look because I
knew the owner for over 30 years. There is ammo out there & if you hunt for it you will find it, just buy enough for your real world needs today.

Ask around to the folks you deal with, you never know just what you will find.
I would in a heartbeat leave some ammo & such with trusted merchants who know others who need. However I never get involved
& it's like any other consignment job. They have tupperware partys so we can have Ammo party's with our close friends.

Craigs list just another way to get F-ked. Keep it in the gun owner family.
My Shooting club is holding it's spring Swap meet next month, so far no sellers or dealers have signed up & that's very odd for
normal times. Two years ago I bought Wolf 7.62X39 for $2.25 a box in the wooden case. Today I see no 7.62X39mm any brand
even steel case corrosive cans or wooden cases for sale at any price.

I see the American ammo market is in SNAFU mode however. Why is there no supply coming in from the normal trade routes
that take Government intervention to pull that trick off. They get away with it every time the NRA tweets ( Stop all the panic buying
& this will end ) that's all BS & we all know it now!!!

I wish I could help those caught short in this Demoncrat made hell however it's so well organized with complete cooperation
from WOKE CEOs here in the US. No lead smelters in the US, Companies, Controlled by big .GOV fear by all the Firearms & ammo manufactures
in the US. This will take some real thinking to get supplies in this Commie controlled time.

Mostly I believe the Demonrats have chosen this time in our history to attack our abilities to protect ourselves & our country.
