Glocks. I'll start another post on that subject. But all I can say is this forum is the best I've found after getting the boot from the other one that decided that PC was better than the truth. But that aside, I hope that we can get more Pro-2nd members here. And I do mean MEMBERS and not just Guests.

We are also here, because we appreciate the quality and historical nature of the 1911. For me, it's what I first got trained on in USCG bootcamp, as an 18 yr old punk kid out of high school. I instantly fell in love with it, and that was it. I will always have a 1911 of some type or manufacturer!

My son-in-law has a really nice 9mm Glock 19. I've shot it, doodled around with it after my son-in-law disassembled it for cleaning. Darn near everything in the thing is plastic (Polymer). Thanks but no thanks... I'll stick to the 1911.

Maybe be like my gun club and you have to be an NRA member to join?! Maybe not necessarily the NRA since a lot of people are angry with the group (we still need their influence) but any pro 2nd group. I know that probably won't happen but it's a thought.

I've tried to buy a Glock as my son also has and carries a G19 but every time I've went to buy one I just can't do it, I'll stick with my steel guns!
Only polymer firearm I've broke down and purchased was a Sig P365XL and I do really like that one.

NRA Patriot Life Patron, GOA Life, CCRKBA Patron, CRPA Life, 2nd Amend. Foud. Life, VVA Life, Amer. Leg. There, if everyone would just join ONE we would be in good shape. That's Millions of gun owners pulling together. Would be kick in the ass the to Left. They wouldn't know what hit them. I agree that WLP has to go from the NRA but you cannot dismiss the power of the Organization. Can't be abandoned. To big to loose.

I understand that many are upset with the NRA. But, you have to wonder how much of the information people are upset about is misdirection from the other side. In my not-so-humble opinion about the matter, there has never been a more prudent time to join the NRA.

Exactly my point, we need them as well as every pro 2a foundation!
Like I said I'm not thrilled with Wayne's actions but we need the organization and I'm still a lifetime member! I think that membership when I joined was like $1000 plus I pitch in at extreme times of need as well as the other orgs I belong to.

I took an Oath 52 years ago at the ripe old age of 17, I went where I was told did as ordered and finally 23 months 3 weeks and 5 days later came home. As far as I know there was no expiration date on that Oath and I aim to uphold the provisions of that Oath as long as I have breath in this old body. Peace Brothers

Well stated, but as I have considered the thought that the second amendment is second only to the first, I have come to disagree with that view. The rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are only secured by the right to defend them. If we do not possess the right to defend ourselves first and foremost, all of the other rights become privileges and not rights.

Nothing is ours if we cannot defend it from those who wish to be our masters.

There were some real good individuals on the other forum that myself and some other outspoken misfits were ousted from. I wonder if they know about this one or there just too PC or intimidated to join ours now? TOOS still sucks. I can hardly deal with that one.

I'm well pleased at seeing a lot of familiar names from TOOOS. I was threatened a couple times for "posting religious viewpoint"
Guilty as charged. And I hate religion, its a big reason why many choose to not come to the Cross. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and the Spoken Word. Also a proud American Legion , NRA, GOA, DVA member.

Now is not the time for trying to get along with the other side. The battle lines have been clearly drawn, and there is much to lose. Just like "back then" some will step forward with hand raised and take the oath, others are willing to step aside and let someone else help with the hard work.

That's where I came from. They banned me for quoting one of our founders...Thomas Jefferson. They reinstated me and I just decided to leave anyway....to hell with them. Anyone who can't tolerate the wisdom of our founders is of no use to me. After I left anyway, they banned me again.

I'm glad to see you guys here too. The man who runs this forum...Blackbeard....doesn't seem like the type to ban any of us for something ridiculous. As a matter of fact, this seems to be the most tolerant....and best forum I've found with a focus on the legendary 1911.
