They will never see another dime of mine. $600 for federal 223. $49 per PMag? Everyone should boycott any local company that price gouges its customers during this crazy time. Send a message that no matter how bad it gets unethical companies will not make it.

Not according to the salesman that said "they are hard to get, that's the reason for the increase". I almost paid $11.50 for them 3 weeks ago so we know they are paying less than $10. Just sayin.

I will be going by MidwayUSA on Monday. If anyone wants to order powder or anything else from their website and have me deliver it to save some bucks, let me know. I will be back on Edmond Monday night and will be more than happy to meet folks at places like Heartland's parking lot to deliver non-price gouged stuff. :)

I have to work the same Saturday as the okc match. Bummer for me.
Thanks for the offer though. Hopefully some other members will take advantage.

Hold on, folks.

They called EVERYONE to find that ammo and HEARTLAND had to pay more for it. Are they supposed to lose money?

$49 per PMag?

Do you think the $69 for a P-Mag that H&H is charging is better? How about the $89 that Gunworld is charging for the same mag?

Everyone should boycott any local company that price gouges its customers during this crazy time.

Unlike many local outlets that raised prices the day after the tragedy, Heartland did a great job NOT raising their prices until Thursday, when they realized:

1) THEY had to pay more for replacement stock

2) Replacement stock is getting to be impossible to find.

I do know Heartland sold all their AR's for the same price they were marked 10 days ago. Tuesday, I bought some P-mags and a Surefure 60 rd mag for the same price they were 10 days ago.

Heartland doesn't have the 6 million dollar budget H&H has, yet they STILL under cut them on magazine prices by nearly 30%

I, for one, will gladly continue to support Heartland.

I don't mind raising prices a bit. It's supply and demand. Of course, I have been stocking up over the last year and don't really need anything. If the consumers are willing to pay it, so be it.

If you waited this long to stock up, you're screwed.

Heartland is a place that supports a local gun match, employees great people and puts money in Oklahoma economy . they just lost a TON of money due to fire damage and being shut down for so long. No one here has their personal books. Manufacturers are raising prices.
Here is what it comes down to, the gun community is doing this to itself, if everyone wasn't freaking out and buying everything in sight, this wouldn't happen.... all i know is everyone praises USA for capitalism until they don't like it... if you want to point fingers point it at the consumer..

Knock yourself out Dave. I found everything at H&H to be the same price as it was prior. And Miles has committed to keeping the prices at the same margin as before the panic. If he raised or raises them because of demand, shame on him too. I know your relationship with Heartland and I can respect you going to bat for them but I was in there a week ago and they were $17.99. They are gouging as it is the same stock they bought before the panic. I am sorry sir but you are wrong on this one and until they drop the prices back to a reasonable margin, I will let everyone I know my opinion of what they have done. Federal primers were still $24.60 at H&H until they sold out so I believe your claims are not 100% true. I am not going to get into a pissing match over which local retailer is sticking it to the local community more, but if that's how they want to conduct their business, I will continue to mail order and pay normal prices for items And watch what is happening to Outdoor America happen to the rest of the local establishments. It shows the character of business owners that gouge prices when things go awry. I plan on letting the management of Heartland know my opinion of their business practices and give them the opportunity to explain to me (us) why we should stick with them.
On the replacement stock, ever place I have checked with (although I don't use pmags much) are allowing folks to back order for the pre-panic price. Magpul has not raised the disti price, this from a very well known inside source. The fact is they didn't HAVE to raise their prices and lose a ton of customers(read OSA forums) but they chose to.
Disappointing IN MY OPINION.

I am in good shape for 20-30 thousand rounds and I have just over 100 magazines, so I am fine. It's funny though how everyone flipped out when Cheaper than Dirt did the same thing but its ok for heartland to do it. <confused>

when did i say it wasn't OK for CTD??
1. CTD doesn't support the local gun community.
2. Check the Wal mart thread also and look at my reply there, it is along the same lines..
3. You can apply my response (in some form) to everything going on right now... Assuming i am ripping everyone else, but doing a special "favor" for heartland is incorrect.. You can check my responses in this forum and the "other one" and i have almost always been on the side of this being a free country and if people want to charge 5 million for a AR15 they can..

I guess all in all what is disappointing to me is
1. Everyone enjoying and supporting capitalism until it isn't in their favor
2. the gun community splintering
3. people jumping to conclusions (like they did with CTD and Wal mart, both are selling guns)
4. so many gun owners calling for AWB
5. all the negativity going around with our "first world problems"
6. people saying we should "take out" Obama or start another civil war

i could go on but you get the point

All I pointed out was I disagree with what heartland is doing. That's all. Sorry if I pissed you all off, but I think what they are all doing is wrong. I also think there will be plenty of time to get supplies before anything goes into law. I would respect these guys more if they just sold out at normal prices versus raising them and unsuspecting folks getting screwed. That's all.

I totally understand.. and not saying i disagree just tough to see threads about it, when we struggle so much to get any support for things like gun matches or giveaways, etc.. i guess i felt like i had to say something because as it is i don't want to lose another supporter of oklahoma related gun stuff (which they support in numerous ways), due to internet thread complaining.. no hard feelings, it is just a tough time right now and i would rather see threads on how we can make things better and unite, then all the negative threads!!! :)
