I think I would like to acknowledge, Col. Jeff Copper, the father of IPSC/USPSA, and Col. Bob Brown 5th group Special Forces and owner of Soldier of Fortune Magazine. Jeff brought us action shooting and Bob brouhgt us 3-gun as we know it today. I was privileged to work for and with both these great individuals. Bob ran the S.O.F. World Championship 3-Gun for 23 years, and at its "retirement" it was changed to Rocky Mountain 3-Gun...so it lives on!
I would like to thank Both of the Mikes, Weidalich and Horn for finally talking me into shooting the S.O.F. 3-Gun and getting me hooked on 3-Gun!! They taught me how to run a match efficiently, fairly, and firmly, good target presentation, scoring, etc.
I would like to give special thanks to John Paul Gangle, and Benny Hill, who took me under their wing and helped me out with good gear! John and Benny both started sponsoring me in 1999, I am the longest continuosly sponsored person for J.P. THANKS GUYS!!!
I want to mention My two shooting partners Trapr Swanson and Mike Pinto. Between the 3 of us we have had a huge impact on the 3-gun world, anything from barrel profiles to whole division changes, that have been picked up Nation wide. It has bee a great honor and an amazing amount of liver damage.
Special thanks goes to Gurnney Munn (the only guy I knew, untill, Jesse that could throw cubic dollars at a problem and actually make it work!) and Eddie Rhodes. Both taught me how to be a "gammer", not just a "Tactical Ted".
Honorable mention is all you guys who have made me smile, and have reminded me of all the excitement the "new guy" can have. Special mention here is Jesse with whom I have had some of the funnest conversations in my garage with, but now that he is famous he doesn't have time for the "common folks", and Taymore....yeah I know I always spell it wrong....get that shotgun to me next month OK?
Best quote is from Jesse " I don't know if my liver can take this 3-gun game"!
