Here is the best place to buy shotgun accessories. You can pick it up at a match.

Hi Burk.

So why is the Nordic brand "better". I have seen some solutions priced at $20-30 less New. I'm not playing Devil's Advocate. I just shot my first 3 gun match this past weekend. Looking for an entry level solution for a gun I already own.

Any used components around? This is National "Help out unemployed academics" week. Tally ho!

Thanks, Kevin

Nordic just works. Am overwhelming percentage of shooters that were at the match Saturday had a Nordic tube on their gun. They are the "glocks" of the mag extension world. You might save a few bucks somewhere but you likely won't get the value of a Nordic tube.

Have I tried any others? No, so take my advice with a grain of salt if you wish

They are the "glocks elephant dung burk is drinking early again..... however Nordic extensions have my vote.

I could have said the are the "M&P's" of the extension world. But that wouldn't have been true. M&P's break :sarcastichand:

I've used $20 extensions and I've used $80 Nordic extensions.
Just like most everything, you get better quality with the higher price.
The cheap extensions work fine, but I wouldn't trust them for 3 gunnin abuse.

so if I buy an extension it comes with a gun? ???? ???? ?????
Negative.

Also, if you do buy an extension, go ahead and get one that holds at least division capacity (8 rounds in tube)

Hey I had fun at my first 3 gun shoot. I used Will's Bennelli. It had about a 12 shot magazine on it.

Having written the above, the shotgun portion was the least enjoyable. Using a shotgun basically as a rifle was not really too exciting. Throw in some moving targets and I'd get more excited.

i really liked the carbine aspect of it, probably cuz its so new to me. And I of course like mixing it up with the pistol.

So you can see my desire to save a few bucks on a mag extension for a shotgun.

I definitely understand the aspect of saving money. The good news is that all Nordic tubes cost the same, regardless of capacity. SO LOAD UP!

Although I see the desire to save money, if you want to do 3 gun, you need something that can take abuse and having to buy a cheap extension multiple times will cost you the same amount of money, plus the irritation of watching your gear break over and over.

Does Nordic make an extension for the Browning Auto-5? This would give me a "reason" to invest in another A-5.

The Auto-5 makes me the Grim Reaper of all things fowl or otherwise. But my Magnum won't cycle target loads. I'd have to buy the Light 12. Oh darn.

I have gone with Carlson's Mag Extension. Online Reviews were good. Price comparable to Nordic. I ordered from Cabela's with my points. Debt incurred on my Visa: $0.00
