WTB: Cheap shotgun

Friend in Columbia wants to buy a HD Shotgun. I just sold my 870, so I thought I'd check what's out there. Other than me looking for him, entire sale will be from seller to my friend FTF. He is a SC resident but no CWP.

He's looking for a basic 12 gauge with full stock (ie, not pistol-grip only). His price range is about $300, so probably pump guns only. If you've got a Rem or Mossy sitting in the closet getting dusty, let me know and I'll pass the info on to him.

walmart HAD new Rem 870s camo, express magnums for $325.

dont know what they are now.

The normal price range for a used 870 express is around the 200 to 225 range at the reasonable pawn shops in the Charleston area. That would be with a typical 28" to 30" hunting barrel. With a hacksaw and a ruler you can easily convert it to a 20" barrel or you can buy a shorter barrel and sell the longer one.

I found an older 870 at a Money Man for $180. 28" barrel and turkey choke; old style mag tube so easy to put an extension on. They came and got it last week. He's looking at buying a shorter barrel for HD, but will keep the long one.
