Ill take that wager, and raise you a soldering iron.
I gotta be honest, the M&P looks like it should have been made that way in the first place - it takes to stippling so naturally that you almost don't realize someone did it when you first handle a gun like that (other than the kick-ass grip its got over factory - if you know what the factory grip on the M&P feels like).
Did you do the front of the mags like Mike does? Gotta get those details man so it's all pimp-tastic and matching.

I used a wood burning kit burner thing.
I did just straight lines because it looks And feels good but doesnt draw too much attention.
But no I didn't do the front of the mags. I did the mag release and the slide end plate thingy just for effect.
