Wisconsin has long been ruled by some leftists. There is a pocket of them around Madison ... mostly a college crowd that's infuenced that states politics for years. Illinois, like Wisconsin... tends to have a majority of idealouges in some large metro areas who can outvote and out money the more conservative folks in the rest of their state.
Good Job Wisconsin... now fix the bigger mess you made earlier this spring and it's all good. Good Job Illinois... you actually talked about fixing gun control in the House this spring. Seeing a problem is the first step- I can see the downstaters eventually getting some of that states 'stupid' fixed in the next few years.
Most folks think that "gun control" is a socialist agenda "up North". And the left has turned guns into a wedge issue for a long time. Most of the hand gun restrictions in the states with lot's of hunters was originally pushed by the KKK in an effort to keep minorities disarmed. Michigans restrictive handgun laws, for example, were result of some direct KKK political action in the '30's. Most of the gun laws that exist in the South were enacted for racial reasons.
The left has just wants to disarm all of us. Thats the differnce.

I'm addicted to kicking ass
My brother already called me asking what he needs to buy. I can't wait to be able to head home this summer and not have to unload and show clear at the border. Although I don't think Iowa has a conecealed carry law that reciprocates to OK. If I remeber correctly I had to degun on my way through there a couple years ago.

Check the carry websites Jesse. Iowa changed some stuff... but I don't know if the recip with OK, yet.

ANSWER: No. Iowa will honor any valid permit issued by any other state.
