Ooops! I'm glad you didn't fire that!So I bought some Wilson Combat .45 ACP 185gr. XTP Self Defense ammo, loaded them in my Springfield Armory 1911. Later I Unloaded it to field strip. This is what came out of the chamber!

Looks like it wasn't crimped at all or very little at the most. I've loaded many 45 ACP's with 185 grain Hornady XTP bullets and I've never had any problems like this or anything else. I only use LEE dies and always use their factory crimp die on everything I reload and have never had a pushback on any caliber. In Semi-Auto pistol calibers I reload 380 Auto, 9 x 18 Makarov, 9 MM Luger, 357 Sig, 40 S&W and 45 ACP. I don't crimp them at all using the bullet seating die. I crimp them using the factory crimp dies because you can't over crimp it and mess it up. It works with or without a cannelure on the bullet. It will make it's own crimp groove if you want.So I bought some Wilson Combat .45 ACP 185gr. XTP Self Defense ammo, loaded them in my Springfield Armory 1911. Later I Unloaded it to field strip.
