If they are a business, they have to charge tax for services rendered.

Uncle Sam has to get his slice of the pie.

Services are not taxed, but use and sales are. It's probably the use of the range that gets taxed.

Went by there today at lunch. Got to shoot for half price as one of my work collegues signed up for their top tier memebership.
Ranges are awesome with alomost no smoke when shooting and a pleasant 70 deg...
Food was really good too and service was excellent. I'll definately be back.

Went by there around lunchtime today. Facility is very nice. Shot a few guns at the range and the filtration system works very well. Never smelled any smoke. Target system was very nice and had I known how to work it I think I would have been able to press one button and have the target go out to the programmed range but I was not smart enough. The guys at the range check in counter weren't very helpful (unless you were the pretty blonde girl needing help) and were disorganized and inattentive, though I understand this was their grand opening and didn't expect the check in process to be perfect. Would like to go back someday for a longer period of time and try the food and bar.

While i think this is a great range i found out their fees today and was a little turned off....28$/hr for their rifle range (100 yard range) 15$/hr for pistol range. As soon as i heard the word "hourly" i was out.

Hmm, that is kind of sad to hear. Hopefully the market will change that, unless they just have enough clientele willing to pay that, most gun owners in this area aren't. I mean I understand they don't want people hogging the ranges, but that's just part of the range business. I knew they wanted to make it kind of club like but didn't think it would be THAT exclusive. Oh well.

Just looked at the prices on the website too, the rentals are pretty pricey as well.

Absolutely understand about hogging the lane. I do not expect to go shoot a case at a time but at the same time won't be rushed. I just don't do the hourly thing, period
