Wilshire Gun Soft Opening event for Boomershooter!

Great facility and staff. I liked the pistols out on display for you to hold and compare similar models. Big selection of firearms and accessories.

Burk looked sharp in his Boomershooter Jersey!

Nice place. The ranges are great. I can see myself really making use of the 100yd bay.

The simulator was a blast, I'm getting one for my living room.
The food was good & the VIP area was super nice.
Hopefully they don't get any assholes in there trying to beat the system & try to drink & shoot.

102 yard range? Im liking this place already
Actually, the camera's that look at the target 100 yds away need a little adjustment to see the entire target. If one moves it to 101 or 102 yds it can see the bottom 1/3 of the target. Very Cool!

We had no issues getting on the lanes we wanted on. Just be sure to bring your rifle!! The 102 yrd lanes are awesome....the action target system paired with the monitors make it super easy to check your targets!! Lots of cool things you can do on on those lanes....hoping that eventually they will use those lanes for matches!
Jamie, we saw your Jewelry display today. Very Cool! I didn't know how you actually used those cases. Hope it sells well. :D

Burke actually tried to game the system with permission of one of the owners. He ordered a beer, got his license scanned, then went to the gun counter to get a lane. He was denied. The system worked. Only one person, one beer. No buying a round for the table.
One of the owners we talked with said the staff has been trained to keep an eye on how much one is drinking. A couple of beers, and your done.

The food was VERY good. Mitch had a double stacked ruben that was 2" thick with meat. I had the Cuban sandwich and fries. Both were really good. I love Cuban food. Tony got the rib dinner. I didn't hear any complaints from him.
Maybe the other guys can chip in and let us know what they thought.

Just a couple of pics:

I didn't get to try any food because they closed the cafe by the time I finished shooting.

Sure would have been nice to know that they were closing it before they closed the store.

Also, they need signs on the walls or ceiling like an airport.

The range was nice. Luis and I played a round of poker.

I drove by there at 1130 and pulled in the parking lot but it was all blocked on one side from semi trucks and I didnt see an entrance, just a loading dock and an older office building on one side, so I left. It was right off of Wilshire. Is the main entrance on the other side?

Main entrance is on wilshire
The parking lot was about the only thing I didn't like.

Hopefully that will improve. Does anyone else happen to know if they charge you tax on range fees at other ranges in the area? That was one thing I noticed on my receipt. The total came out to 16 something after tax, thought that was odd for a range fee(it was free but still had to run it through the system i guess.)

H&H charges tax, don't know if it's only on the targets, range fee, or both.
