Why the 1911?

The single action trigger allows for a shorter pull and more consistant feel. as you pull back you find the hard spot and then boom, that is something you can train to alot quicker than a long double action pull.

Being a Kel- Tec owner I know what you mean by long trigger pull. I like its size for a 9mm very compact but it seams like forever when it comes to pulling the trigger. Definitely a close range type of weapon.

when it comes to flat out sweet triggers you will be spoiled on a 1911. I fit mine so that there is no up and down or side to side movement, about a 1/64th to 1/8th of creep, hard spot and then breaks like a glass rod.

Once you go single action, you don't wanna go back, the CZ-75 SA is nice as well. I was a the police range the other day, shooting some glocks and I tell you what after shooting 1911 triggers for the last 7 years, it was tuff to get back in the double action groove again. look like a real f-in amauter.

I am sure Kurt will be along shortly to confirm the amauter quote...:)

Cause they are sexy

Very nice...does touching myself inappropriately while looking at pictures of your pistol mean we've taken our relationship to the next level?

My dad uses a KelTec and I feel like I could take a nap before getting the trigger all the way back. I picked up a Sig 290 awhile back and shot it 3 times before trading it off because the trigger was too long. I'm all about the short trigger pull.

Yes. But I've done worse

Better make that a three some...

I just ordered all my parts got my first 1911. A good friend with a lot of experience is going to help me hand fit and put it all together.

Couldn't be happier, unless I had all the parts here already and could start working on it this weekend.

I have a few decent guns, but my 1911 is the only one that puts a smile on my face. I'm smiling now just thinking about it...now I gotta go get it out of the safe.

edit: And now I gotta take to the range tomorrow, it's been a while.

I've actually had nightmares where I couldn't pull the trigger far enough to make it go bang.
