Why did my rifle lose its zero?

With a quality mount like this the QD shouldn't be a problem, especially if you've not been taking it off & putting it back on during the zero process.

In that first pic it looks like your scope is touching the BUIS. Is it? if so you need to ditch the BUIS.

how long have you had this setup? Have you had this issue from the beginning? If it was working fine, can you remember the chain of events that led to the problem.

The dust covers go on & off with a c__t hair to spare.

Not long, I ran my first rifle match with iron sights in March I believe at OKCGC and the gun failed during a stage due to loose gas key.
Fixed that problem at shot a match at USSA including the totally awesome shoot house.
I had the most "A's" in that match but also was the slowest. My point gun was consistent.
I had this long enough to zero and attend the last multi gun at OKCGC with this scope.
I was very happy with the results of the zero process.
I fear the scope may have accidentally got damaged on the gun cart I shared with a nice guy during that match.
As I mentioned to Rusty, the last stage that day for us was mainly the rifle stage.
I had run out of water early that day, I was not use to the wind and warmer temps and just assumed it was operator error because I used up 2 full mags and was shooting all over the place. I did not understand so I thought it was me.
Yesterday was to confirm it was me but the tables have turned.
If that generates a list of questions fire away.

If nothing is loose including the barrel the scope has got to be damaged. Try shooting your BUIS tonight.

I'm in on that idea, I would like to see it group period and go from there.
I bet Rusty gets me on the right track.
Thanks again
I have no doubt that he can.
Good luck Mike, hope it's a fast, easy & cheap fix for you.

Hey guys, this would probably be a much better topic conversation in the rifle forum.. :)

I agree, I felt bad stepping on the Match Announcements section but kept getting great help.
I will post an update in the rifle forum when something is figured out.

Yeah! You are taking away from me time and my AK chatter for this awesome 3 gun event that I will be attending

And I'm nice enough to just let you use it sans paying for my entry fee! You guys are great - Tony might have some extra mags for me to use - if they work - I think they will. I have two 30rd and two 5rd mags and a pouch we can alternate in. I think(hope) wall/Jesse/wormy and I are squaring up for this too!

Just tossin it out there.... It's possible to get rings to tight, enough to damage optics and create a shifting zero

My buddy helped his dad out .... He checked the mount and ring screws, declared them loose.... And tightened everything . Of course the results were a notable shift in POI. This particular rifle had been GTG for years and was fine after all those screws were loosened back up.

You haven't dropped that gun or bumped it have you?
