Who's Hitting the Range This Weekend?

Im headed out to OKCGC to try some of my new Montana Gold .223 reloads. I plan to run them through the chrono and see how they group at 300, 200, 100.

I may have to shoot some of the steel on the action rifle range simply because I can. That range is sweet!

Damn, I'd sure love to hit the range but it's only going to reach 45F here in Tulsa on Saturday and Winter precipitation Sunday-Monday. I dunno when I'll be able to get to the range again at this rate.

I'm going to test some loads with the STI trojan and Sunday venture up to H&H for their monthly match... Probably shoot single stack but could so up with Limited or Production gun attached.. Probably leave the revo at home since I'm and 59% and some change... I don't want to make B class just yet...

Andersen has a .40 Trojan too. You could probably convince him to let you shoot it Sunday night. Of course you'd have to go up against Cyrwus, ChrisC and I in that division. Yeah you better just play it safe and shoot Limited.

I opened up that loading port on the M1 some more too. Your gonna like it.

I hit the range everyday, I have my own range at my house, so that means I can shoot whenver I want, and yall poor saps have to go to the rangs.

Yup home range here too. Just got done loading up 140 rounds of .308 tonight. Going out tomorrow. First kinda nice weekend I've had in a while.

I shot everything prone with my coupled 40 round mags for support.

My first group at 100 yards with my new reloads. A little over an inch at 100.

Here was a great 4 shot group with a damn flyer at 300 yards. That paster that those four are touching is 1".

Today was awesome, not too cold, no wind. After Dec 3-Gun I came to the realization that I need magnification. I got the Nikon M223 1-4x scope & mount. With my 11" barrel, I wasn't shooting any sweet groups like Jesse. But, I was banging the steel at 300. That's all I need to do really. It's much easier than with the eotech.

I guess it is a lot, which is why I shoot 22LR. It's affordable and fun. My centerfire guns feel like redheaded step-children. :lol:

JT what optic are you using??

My primary competion rifle had a Swarovski Z6i 1-6x w/BRT reticle. It is quite possibly the perfect 3 gun optic. My practice S&W M&P15R and Nordic Components 22LR upper on the DPMS lower both have a Millet DMS-1. All 3 ride in LaRue SPR-E LT139 mounts.
